The Subsalve USA Professional Lift Bag began with a one-of-a-kind assignment from the US Navy to develop a flotation device that would dependably withstand particularly abusive conditions.
Subsalve developed the 5-ton Deep Ocean Lift Bag to have unprecedented strength, low elasticity and superior resistance to abrasion and chemical attack. This bag is now our standard Professional Lift Bag design.
The Professional Lift Bags are Subsalve's most versatile and easy-to-use lift bags. These open-bottom, balloon-shaped bags with a single attachment point are easy to use in construction, heavy and light salvage, and many offshore tasks. Provides maximum lifting capacity with the least total bag weight.
Commercial Lift Bags are especially suited for remote locations or for deployment from small craft and are capable of being used by a single diver. These heavy-duty lift bags are ideal for use in light salvage, object recovery, construction, and scientific applications. Designed to be portable, yet tough enough to last a lifetime. Open bottom design allows for self venting during ascent. Also equipped with a plunger dump valve activated by a push bottom knob at the top of the bag or via lanyard at bottom of bag. Each bag comes fully equipped with all necessary hardware and is ready for immediate use. All lift bags are tested by Subsalve prior to shipping, and must meet rigorous U.S. Department of Defense requirements.
SUBSALVE USA Salvage Pontoons are Specifically designed for use where water depth is a critical factor.
The totally-enclosed, cylindrically-shaped bags are perfect for shallow water salvage, reducing the draft of a vessel, or raising an object closer to the surface.
Salvage Pontoons also prove invaluable in cable and pipeline operations, or where long tows are planned. Available in both standard cylinder shape and elongated tubes.
The pontoon design incorporates a replaceable, heavy-duty nylon webbing lift harness built into the body of the lift bag, and has a safe working ratio of 6:1. The harness arrangement maintains the lift bag in a horizontal position while insuring maximum stability.
CAUTION: Salvage Pontoons have multiple attachment points. All attachment points must be connected with the shackles provided, and the load evenly distributed. Large pontoons require a separate lifting beam to evenly distribute the load.
