SUBSALVE USA Salvage Pontoons are specifically designed for use where water depth is a critical factor
The totally-enclosed, cylindrically-shaped bags are perfect for shallow water salvage, reducing the draft of a vessel, or raising an object closer to the surface.
Salvage Pontoons also prove invaluable in cable and pipeline operations, or where long tows are planned.
Salvage Pontoons are available in both standard cylinder shape and elongated tubes.
Constructed of heavy-duty, ballistic-rated nylon fabric coated with urethane. This specially-coated fabric is:
* High strength
* Very resistant to abrasion
* Not affected by most petro-chemicals
* UV resistant
The pontoon design incorporates a replaceable, heavy-duty nylon webbing lift harness built into the body of the lift bag, and has a safe working ratio of 6:1.
CAUTION: Salvage Pontoons have multiple attachment points. All attachment points must be connected with the shackles provided, and the load evenly distributed. Large pontoons require a separate lifting beam to evenly distribute the load.
Salvage Pontoons are equipped with shackles, valves, and all necessary hardware ready for immediate use. All Lift Bags are tested prior to shipping, and must pass rigorous U.S. Department of Defense standards.
